Rise Broadband Upgrades 20 More Markets to Fixed LTE

US fixed wireless operator Rise Broadband has announced the extension of its LTE footprint to around 20 more small-to-mid-sized markets in six states. The LTE upgrades allow the operator’s rural and suburban customers to benefit from up to 50 Mbps internet access. CEO Jack Koo said subscribers’ internet usage is growing by 40 percent a year.

The latest LTE upgrades include the communities of Ashton, Menan, Newdale and Teton in Idaho; Centerville, Iowa; Rockford, Sterling, Belvidere, Milledgeville and Beloit in Illinois; Riverdale, North Platte and Kearney in Nebraska; Durant, Oklahoma; and Hearne, Boyd, Weatherford, Goshen and Pampa in Texas.

Rise Broadband said it will upgrade more of its markets to LTE over the next 18+ months.
