Usually associated with mobile phone networks, LTE technology is the worldwide standard in wireless connectivity. When used in a fixed wireless environment, LTE will initially provide twice the speed and ultimately more than four times the speed of previous operating platforms.

The term “fixed wireless” means Rise Broadband delivers Internet and digital phone service to permanent structures (home and businesses) using wireless spectrum (airwaves) – not fiber, cable or satellite technology – to connect customers. As a result, Rise is able to provide Internet access in rural and suburban areas often under-served by wireline carriers. The company also offers DISH TV service throughout its coverage area.

Additional Rise markets are being upgraded to the LTE platform over the next 18+ months.
